However, beneath these labels lies an NFC chip that can be scanned with a smartphone or an NFC-enabled device.

Meanwhile, each cartridge cover can also be scanned using Artivive, an augmented reality (AR) platform. By pointing the Artivive app at the cartridge label, you trigger an animated video overlay right on your smartphone, adding a digital layer that comes to life on top of the physical object.

How It Works

Scan the Cartridge with Artivive:

  • Open the Artivive app on your smartphone or tablet.
  • Point your camera at the cartridge label.
  • Watch as an animated sequence or additional graphics appear, seamlessly superimposed on your screen.


Tap the NFC Chip (Optional Next Step):

  • Many smartphones automatically detect NFC tags as soon as they come into close contact (usually on the back of the phone).
  • A prompt will appear, linking you to extra content—at the moment, these are typically web links.

Future plans

The hope is to eventually connect small, interactive mini-games or additional experiences with these NFC tags, making the scanning experience more immersive.
