Immersed in the depths of Web3, I embarked on a journey of digital art experimentation to articulate experiences and emotions, navigating the labyrinth of my thoughts and feelings with no desire to emerge from its depths. AI serves as an extension of my creative arm, manifesting conceptual realms into existence.
I consider myself more of an observer and philosopher than a traditional artist. Curiosity and the pursuit of knowledge propel my artistic endeavors. Echoing the sentiment, AI artist Claire Silver describes AI as a conduit for one’s imagination—a perspective that I increasingly embrace. Embracing an agile mindset is essential for artists, constantly adapting to the ever-evolving creative process. Ultimately, our artistic expressions are a reflection of our inherent nature, shaped by past impressions and experiences. It is through these daily expressions that our true selves are revealed.
My Journey as an Artist So Far:
Since 2022: I’ve been experimenting with AI tools like Midjourney and DALL-E to bring my imagination to life through digital art.
Summer 2023: I reconnected with some old and new friends, and together we set up a pop-up gallery, “Die Galerie,” in our hometown of Eisenstadt, Burgenland, Austria. There, I revealed my genesis collection, Pannonia Arrival 👽🛸, alongside several smaller editions. For two months, we introduced visitors to the world of digital art—AI art, pixel art, digital design, crypto art—and engaged in discussions about blockchain, NFTs, and the evolving metaverse, onboarding several into the web3 space. 💪
Autumn 2023: We launched the art collective “The Pannonians,” based at the Pannonian Laboratories in Eisenstadt. Collaborating with other artists, including the renowned digital art collective Cryptowiener, we started expanding our digital art mission.
November / December 2023: “The Everyday Sessions” began—a daily project where The Pannonians generated fresh art based on changing themes. I also held a virtual exhibition at the metaverse gallery Landesgalerie Andromeda 🖼️.
Dezember 2023: A milestone moment—Stoney, a fellow Pannonian, became the first Austrian artist selected for the Beeple Community Showcase during Crypto Winter Wonderland, and I had the pleasure of joining him for an unforgettable experience in Charleston. 😊
March 2024: We opened The Pannonians’ exhibit “Beyond Pixels” at Eisenstadt’s Townhall Gallery, where I debuted two new collections: Alice in Palace Park Wonderland – A Virtual Fairytale and The Willingness to Suspend the Disbelief, which incorporated AR elements thanks to my Meta Spark AR experiments. I also unveiled “Magging Lisa,” a work by my alter ego AI Art Faker 😉. Around the same time, I received news that two of my pieces had been selected for the Beeple Studios Community Showcase during the first Digital Art Deathmatch in May—and I was invited to compete!
April 2024: Challenge accepted ✊! I began my Blender sessions to prep for my participation in the Digital Art Deathmatch.
May 2024: I celebrated the exhibition of my two works Men At Work and hope ZZZ at Beeple Studios. During the competition, I had a rookie mishap—I crashed the system with a geometric function and a high-poly model in Blender during the first 15-minute round 😅. Despite the knockout, it was an amazing experience in Charleston!
Also in May, my work was featured in the Dimension exhibition at Frame It—the New Media Arts House in Vienna—where I showcased previous collections alongside Mindset Mints on Optimism, my entry for the Optimism Open Call.
June 2024:
AI Art Faker’s Magging Lisa made its way to Melbourne, featured in the Oshi Gallery’s Warpedcast Exhibition. The Aussies’ passion for crypto art is contagious! 🍻
July 2024: HANZZZEL hits big screen… Superchief Gallery’s first “Time Square Open Call”… After the work Fear and Loathing in AI was selected by Ledger… It was shown every hour for one week on one of the biggest screens on Time Square. This it’s one of the greatest and craziest moments in my life!
September 2024: As one the remote controls NYC winners the work Fear and Loathing in AI was also shown at the Lumen Studios during the Subjective Art Festival, New York, as part of Superchief Gallery curation.
October 2024: My Alien goes to Vegas! – My signature piece of the Genesis collection “Pannonia Arrival” is shown during The Hug Exhibition ‘AI AS COLLABORATOR’ at JRNY Gallery in Las Vegas.
As for what’s next? My friends at The Pannonians and I are hard at work exploring new frontiers. So get a ticket and take the ride!!!
