kAI zero is an experimental art and music project that explores the creative potential of artificial intelligence. At its core, the project is both an artistic experiment and a cultural inquiry: how far can machine-generated music go, and what happens when technology becomes a co-creator rather than just a tool?
The debut album, released on August 22, 2025, features 25 original tracks that merge human ideas with AI-driven composition. Each piece reflects a different facet of this collaboration – from abstract soundscapes to rhythm-driven explorations – resulting in a body of work that challenges conventional notions of authorship and creativity.
Beyond music, kAI zero is embodied by a digital avatar, created with Unreal Engine and the MetaHuman framework. This virtual persona is animated through motion capturing, bringing human gestures, facial expressions, and movement into a hyperreal digital form. The avatar acts as the project’s performative figure, allowing kAI zero to appear on stage, in installations, and in virtual spaces while blurring the lines between reality and simulation.
The project expands into live shows, installations, and cross-disciplinary collaborations, aiming to create immersive experiences that combine sound, visuals, and performance. Its first public presentation took place at the OKTAEDER [LAND]UNG event in Sigleß, Austria, where AI-driven audio and visual elements were brought to life in dialogue with audience and space.
By merging AI-generated music with cutting-edge digital embodiment, kAI zero invites listeners and viewers alike to rethink the role of machines in culture – not as replacements, but as partners in shaping the future of creative expression.
